There shall be an Entrance Test for M.A. in Buddhist Studies.
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com (Hons) examination from Delhi University with 40% or more marks in aggregate.
M.A./M.Com./M.Sc. Examination from Delhi University with 40% or more marks in aggregate.
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.(Genl)from Delhi University examination from Delhi University with 45% or more marks in aggregate.
B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com (Hons) Examination in any subject of any recognised University with 45% or more marks in aggregate.
M.A. / M.Com / M.Sc. Examination of any recognised University with 45% or more marks in aggregate.
B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com(Gen.) / L.L.B. / B.Ed. / B.Lib. Examination in any subject of any recognised University with 50% or more marks in aggregate.

All applicants found eligible will be required to appear in an Entrance Test (Written) to be conducted by the Department of Buddhist Studies.
On the basis of the Entrance Test a merit list of the Candidates securing minimum of 45% shall be prepaired and admission shall be offered. There shall be usual reservation as per the University rules. If any of these selected candidates appearing in the Merit List fails to deposit the Admission Fees within one week period after the date of display of the merit list, then it will be understood that he/she is not interested in getting admission. Such cases will not be considered again for admission. Department will not conduct any Entrance Test for admission to any particular course for second time in one academic session. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to prove his/her eligibility for claiming priority weightage under any of the reserved categories. The candidate under any reserved categories will be required to produce the original certificates of the competent authority at the time of final selection for verification.
The candidate is entirely responsible to prove his/her eligibility course.
All admissions will be subject to verification of the original certificates/ documents issued by the competant authority.
If an applicant is found to be ineligible at any stage even after admission to any course of this Department, his/her admission will stand cancelled.
Candidate belonging to foreign countries are exempted from Entrance Test.
Welghtage of 8% marks will be given to those candidates who possess Diploma in Pali / Tibetan Language and Literature of Buddhist Studies of this Department/Diploma in Chinese or any other equivalent examination/ Diploma in Archaeology/ Diploma in Sanskrit. Weightage of 5% marks will be given to those candidates who possess Certificate in Pali / Tibetan Language and Literature of this Department/ Certificate in Chinese or any other equivalent examination; Certificate in Archaeology/Certificate in Sanskrit.
Weightage of 4% marks will be given to those candidates who have qualified themselves with Buddhist Studies as one of the Subjects at B.A. level.
