Final Examination in each paper carries 75 % marks and is of three hours duration. Internal assessment in each paper consists of 25% marks. All examinations will be held at the end of the year. For Field Methods, please see the syllabus.
Admission Eligibility : APPENDIX-A Course and Eligibility Requirements for Admission test for admission to the two year Post-Graduate degree Course in Linguistics.
M.A./M.Sc./M.Ed. examination in any subject from the University of Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with 50% marks in aggregate. OR
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.(H) examination in any subject from the University of Delhi or any other recognized University with 50% marks in aggregate. OR
B.A./B.Com.(Pass)/B.Sc.(General)/ B.Ed./ B.El.Ed. degree examination or an equivalent degree with 55% marks in aggregate.
Other Info: All eligible candidates (as per Appendix ?A? ) selected through an admission test conducted by the Department of Linguistics, University of Delhi, Delhi.
Admission Merit Lists is prepared on the basis of academic record (30% weightage) performance in the admission test(50% weightage) and interview (20% weightage). For determining the academic record performance percentage of Bachelor Degree Examination or the Master?s Degree Examination, whichever is best is taken into consideration. The number of seats available is 35.
